Group’s New Logos

For over seventy years, the Barberis pastry shop has been producing homemade cakes, satisfying the palate of three generations of Genoese. Founded by Giuseppe Barberis, thanks to the high quality of the raw materials, as well as to the love and dedication for this work, which didn’t come without efforts, it became one of the most renowned pastry shops in the city of Genoa.
Over the years it has taken on the connotation of a real group including some of the most prestigious pastry shops and ice-cream parlours in the area (Gelateria Priaruggia, Cremeria Colombo and Antica Gelateria Guarino).
All the brands of the Barberis group are comparable in terms of target and positioning.
The brand’s architecture is studied on the basis of a derived model, in which all the logos of the group are free to express their identity while graphically recalling their belonging to the Barberis family.
The logos’ graphic format is a reference to the historical-geographical events of the Ligurian territory.
Gelateria Priaruggia, which is located in the district of Quarto dei Mille, is set on a beach characterized by small pebbles, and its specialty are ice-cream cones. The logo refers to both this specialty and the geomorphology of the beach.
Cremeria Colombo, situated in the district of Quinto al Mare, recalls by nominative association the historic mission of the Italian seafarer and explorer of the Republic of Genoa Christopher Columbus, which led to the discovery of America.
Antica Gelateria Guarino, located in the district of Spianata di Castelletto, takes inspiration from the ice-cream’s creaminess in reference to the fact that the shop’s strength is the Panera, a coffee parfait typical of the city of Genoa.
